Danielle, RVT, Head Technician

Danielle attended Santa Ross Junior College and received her veterinary technician's license in 2002. Involved with veterinary care for many years, Danielle's love for our four-legged friends inspired her to pursue many areas of medicine, surgery, neurology, oncology and emergency care. Passionate about expanding her veterinary knowledge, Danielle is proud to be a part of  "a wonderful medical team that not only urges staff members to further develop our skills and expertise but also encourages the veterinary field as a whole to expand its horizons." She joined The Sams Clinic in 2008.



Margaret, RVT

After graduating from Foothill College in Los Altos, California, Margaret gained hands-on nursing experience at a 24-hour emergency veterinary hospital in San Francisco. She joined the nursing team at The Sams Clinic in 2004 and plays a number of roles, including being a primary CT technician. In her free time, Margaret is a multiple-media artist currently focusing on creating custom stained glass pieces. A lifetime animal lover, Margaret finds the art of caring for the clinic's four-legged patients vastly rewarding.



Katrina, RVT

A graduate of Mill Valley's Tamalpais High School, Katrina received dual degrees in chemistry and physics from the Randolph-Macon Women's College in 2001. She's worked with a variety of animals, from dogs, cats and horses to eagles, hawks, alligators, ferrets and chinchillas. Her clinical interests include diagnostic imaging and canine sports medicine. Currently, Katrina's four-legged family consists of a horse, a number of cats, and two rescue dogs: Maddie, "The Flying Coyote," a border collie who's completed her advanced/master titles in three agility associations and has tried her paw at herding as well, and Malcolm, "The Crashing Coyote," a sheltie who enjoys his rally classes and just about anything he can get in his mouth.



Kim, RVT

As a teenager, Kim volunteered as a kennel attendant and after working in general practice clinics for a number of years, earned her RVT status at Santa Rosa Junior College. She joined The Sams Clinic in 2009 with over twenty years of experience and a deep desire to learn everything she can to improve her patient's quality of life. Kim lives in Sonoma County, where she fosters abandoned animals, occasionally she is even able to offer those animals a forever home. Pictured here are Magi Mae and Bodi, part of a litter of nine abandoned pups, and Katie, the lady of the house. Kim enjoys hiking with her dogs, volunteering at a cutting-horse ranch and driving her racecar at the Petaluma Speedway.



Cesar, Veterinary Assistant

Cesar got his start in veterinary care by volunteering his time to an animal hospital when he adopted a dog in need. The hospital soon brought Cesar on as a paid employee, and for three years he worked as a valuable member of the hospital staff.  In 2007, after moving to Marin County from Southern California, he joined The Sams Clinic. Cesar enjoys spending time with his children and their dog, Cheyenne.



Tristan, Veterinary Assistant

After majoring in agriculture with an emphasis in animal science, Tristan received her bachelor's degree from Oregon State University in 2006. In addition, Tristan holds associate degrees in both animal science and equine science from Linn Benton Community College. While in college Tristan spent time working with animals and was part of the IHSA equestrian team.†She enjoys being outdoors, a pleasure she shares with her dog and pony. Tristan joined The Sams Clinic in 2008 and is very proud to be a part of the team. Getting to know patients and making sure they have the best possible experience gives Tristan a great sense of fulfillment at the end of each day.

 

Dan, Veterinary Assistant

While studying animal science at Cal Poly San Louis Obispo Dan gained hands-on work experience at a local general practice. After graduating in June 2010, he broadened his experience by completing an internship at Utah's Hogle Zoo. He joined The Sams Clinic in October of 2010, bringing his love of animals, of all shapes and sizes. In his free time, Dan enjoys staying active, spending lots of time outdoors, including daily romps with his Golden Retriever Brandy.
